Norman’s Law

Simplicity in design causes more work behind the scenes than expected. Users have to do extra hunting and hidden options slow users down. A lack of clear feedback loops/ signals increases the cognitive load of the user to remember commands and controls. This causes abandonment of the system.

Solution: multiple ways to complete an action, response to users when interacting with interface, visual cues, reveal features gradually.
